I bought my car in Dec. 2003 and had it on the road in spring of 2004. I drove it from Washington, DC to Columbus, OH (Spring Fling) in 2004 one week after installing the current engine. The trip was an absolute pleasure due in part to the BMW suspension set-up. A friend of mine with a CSX 4000 series car told me that driving my car was closer to driving his M Roadster than to his Cobra. The engine/tranny combo is great, especially with the 3.46 rear end. It goes like crazy but will still get 21 mpg on highway trips in overdrive. The horsepower is plenty (Mustang chasis dyno), but after 8000+ miles of driving experience, I crave a little bit more. If I ever replace this engine, it will be replaced with a 408 stroker for about 70-80 more ponies at the wheels. Getting a car like this is the most fun money can buy without being illegal!

The Backdraft Racing organization is top notch for customer service and satisfaction. Backdraft Racing has experienced incredible growth in a very short time, but has always supported their customers. Every time I needed an answer to a question, help with a part, or factory support, Backdraft Racing was there. Reg and Frank Dodd know most Backdraft owners by name, including mine. They truely understand that customer satisfaction is better than any amount of advertising. As a total package, the Backdraft Racing Roadster is the best bang for the buck out there.

Reg, I could go on and on, but I want to keep it short enough to be effective for you.

Sincerely, Tom Farhood.
